Flexible Sides for Small Products

Flex-Side is designed for small or fragile products where contact with fixed sides is undesirable. The belt arrangement combines flexible sides with cleats, providing product separation within the conveying path.

Quick Belt Replacement

Cleats for Segregation and Timing

Cleats divide products along the belt for three tasks:

Segregation: Separating products during transport.
Counting and timing: Presenting separated products to an operation.
Horizontal or incline flow: Moving products along the selected conveyor arrangement.

Sealed Bearings

Bearings are sealed and lubricated for life, so routine bearing lubrication is not required. Belt inspection, cleaning and replacement require access.

Cleats and belt material are selected for the application; optional rail positions depend on acceptable product contact.

Cleat Heights and Belt Materials

The listed cleat heights can be selected for the application; other sizes can be requested. Urethane and rubber are available belt materials.

Material selection depends on the product, cleaning chemicals and operating environment.

The cleat width for the selected Type E flexible-side arrangement is belt width minus 2.63 in (66.7 mm).

Optional Side Rails

UHMW or stainless steel side rails are available for additional support. Rail positions depend on where the product may contact a fixed side. See Side Guides for guide-selection information.

Standard and Automation Configurations
