Shaft Mounted Drive
Fit the drive directly to the conveyor shaft and position the gearmotor around it to suit the surrounding machine. The Shaft Mounted Drive combines direct coupling with AC or DC motor options, including variable-speed control.

How it fits your conveyor
Position the drive around the shaft
A machine frame, guard or support can leave room for a motor in one direction but obstruct it in another. On this shaft-mounted arrangement, the gearmotor can be positioned around the conveyor shaft in 15-degree increments. The shaft connection stays at the same conveyor location while the gearmotor position changes.
Direct coupling
Direct coupling joins the gearmotor to the conveyor shaft. Conveyor Technologies matches this connection and its mounting to the selected conveyor, with access for the cable and gearmotor removal.
Options and configuration
AC and DC power choices
Listed options include 90V DC, 115V single-phase AC, 208V single-phase AC, 220/230V single-phase and 230/460V three-phase AC motors. Conveyor Technologies matches the motor and controller to the available supply and required movement.
Speed control and installation options
Variable-speed control allows the conveyor pace to change with the operation. Manual or automated control options, cable arrangements and protective enclosures are available. The controller, motor and conveyor determine the usable belt-speed range; environmental protection belongs to the selected package.

The power and torque above are package references, not a conveyor load or belt-speed rating. Conveyor Technologies confirms the motor, reduction ratio and operating duty for the selected conveyor.
Installation and service access
A screw-on electrical connector allows the connection to be separated during gearmotor replacement. The changeout example of less than two minutes applies with that connector. The example concerns the gearmotor and does not apply to every installation or to a conveyor belt change.
Space around the shaft connection, mounting points and cable matters when a gearmotor is removed. Conveyor Technologies helps plan that access and identify the applicable replacement information for an existing drive.
Documentation and support
Conveyor Technologies can help identify the relevant mounting, operating or service information for the selected arrangement. Visit Conveyor Documentation to ask about a drawing, manual or reference for your equipment.
For existing equipment, Equipment Identification provides a starting point when the conveyor or component identity is uncertain.
Warranty: 2-year unlimited hours warranty, 5-years on bearings.
